Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients across various age groups using standardized assessments and discerning observational skills.
• Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy interventions focusing on essential aspects such as language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
• Work closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide informative patient and family education to encourage supportive progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Perform occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition of care throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development to remain abreast of innovations in therapy practices through education and collaboration.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized program.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
