Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups utilizing standardized assessments and careful observation.
  • Create tailored treatment plans focusing on both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy interventions, prioritizing communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Work in synergy with a variety of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families, to ensure a unified care experience.
  • Provide education for patients and families, fostering progress outside therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient journey.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Commit to professional growth by staying informed of developments in the field and collaborating with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Possession of a state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA are preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
