Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Reports to: Special Services Director and Special Services Assistant Director
General Summary: Plans and administers occupational therapy, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist, for students with disabilities who have been identified through a case conference committee decision to require occupational therapy
Essential Functions:
- Assess student's strength, developmental levels, motor development, sensory perception, range of motion, self-care and social skills.
- Records and collects data to develop or revise treatment plans.
- Evaluates, designs, or adapts materials, equipment, or the educational environment to meet student's needs.
- Consults with parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, and other related services personnel.
- Completes documentation as required.
- Submits Medicaid reimbursement billing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational therapist Assistant program with an associates, bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree
- NBCOT certification
- current Indiana COTA license
- Valid Driver's License.
Length of Position:
- Monday-Friday throughout the school year for a total of 185 school days.
