Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of individuals across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to craft cohesive care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families to ensure progress continues beyond therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to maintain continuity of care throughout the patient's recovery process.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation that aligns with state and federal regulations and organizational standards.
  • Stay abreast of the latest methodologies through continuing education opportunities and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a program accredited by the relevant authorities.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have yet to obtain ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting your position.
