Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across a variety of age groups utilizing both standardized tests and observational assessments.
• Create individualized treatment plans catered to address specific short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver targeted speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals including occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and caregivers to ensure holistic patient care.
• Facilitate education for patients and their families to reinforce progress and support success beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining continuity in the patient's care journey.
• Keep meticulous records that comply with state, federal, and organizational practice standards.
• Commit to ongoing education and professional growth through collaboration and staying updated with advancements in the field.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of hiring.
