Position Details
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using trusted assessment tools and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment strategies that serve both immediate objectives and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanisms.
- Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge cohesive healthcare plans.
- Provide education to patients and families to facilitate ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Assist with rare inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout all phases of treatment.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation that conforms to all regulatory and organizational guidelines.
- Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and collaborative discussions with colleagues.
Educational Requirements
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
