Description

  • Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to forge integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational support to patients and families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally carry out inpatient speech therapy evaluations to facilitate seamless care throughout the treatment journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay informed of the latest advancements in speech therapy through ongoing education and professional networking.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for candidates who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
