Speech Language Pathologist - Contractor

We are looking for a skilled, sympathetic Speech-Language Pathologist to provide quality care for children with neuro-diverse conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and OCD. The Speech-Language Pathologist would work as part of a multidisciplinary team of physician, nurse, psychologist, occupational therapist, dietitian, behavioral therapist, case manager, and family life coach. They will perform screenings, assess the client's condition, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the client develop necessary speech skills. Duties & Responsibilities: a. Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders to include articulation and language delays. b. Learn and apply the SOS feeding approach. c. Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of clients. d. Performing screening to detect voice and speech disorders. e. Educating clients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events. f. Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals. g. Maintain the clinical records system in accordance with ODMHSAS, OHCA, CARF and CREOKS rules and regulations. h. To read and be knowledgeable of all current CREOKS policies and procedures. i. Responsible for understanding and following all of the administrative, clinical, and programmatic policies and procedures of the agency. j. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Competencies Required: Master's degree in speech-language pathology. Must be Licensed or License-eligible with Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBESPA) Experience in pediatric settings and ideally with neuro-diverse children (Autism, ADHD, OCD)and/or eating disorders preferred. Strong understanding of speech-related conditions causes, and treatments. Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to continue training and research to keep current on the latest discoveries and developments in the field. Capability to work as part of a team. Compassion and genuine interest in helping others, especially children with behavioral health challenges. Proficiency with computers, especially with electronic health records. Experience working in integrated care settings or with medical providers is preferred.
