POSITION: Full-time
FLSA STATUS: Exempt (Faculty)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is an appointment beginning July 1, 2025. This position serves as the Director of Doctor of Physical Therapy from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, at the direction of the Chief Academic Officer and Wheeling University President
QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctor of Physical Therapy License required
Ed.D. required
Seven Years of Academic and Teaching Experience required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee the scheduling and management of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program courses and certification programs in coordination with all associated University degrees.
Oversee the scheduling, management, annual reviews, and professional development progress of the Doctor of Physical Therapy program full-time and part-time faculty.
Oversee and ensure all Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CCNE) accreditation representation, standards, andpliance matters.
Oversee the recruitment, entry, and management of the Doctor of Physical Therapy students from the point of admission through graduation.
Maintain all faculty, teaching, student arrangements, and departmental activities in alignment with HLC accreditation and University standards.
Actively plan and oversee all activities, events, and opportunities for the Doctor of Physical Therapy students' development and distinction in and outside of the University.
Lead and manage the Doctor of Physical Therapy facultypliance with University curriculum assessment and course delivery continuous improvement standards in traditional, hybrid, and online formats.
Oversee and submit to Academic Affairs all Doctor of Physical Therapy annual strategic goals, planning and progress reports, teaching and faculty performance reports, hiring and renewal rmendations, and all other matters related to faculty performance management.
Oversee and manage all Doctor of Physical Therapy staff, budgets, lab facilities, teaching delivery needs, and other operational matters.
Other departmental oversight duties as assumed/assigned.
