Role Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
- Create customized treatment strategies that reflect both immediate goals and long-lasting communication or swallowing improvements.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions covering language, fluency, voice, and swallowing domains.
- Engage in collaborative practices with physical therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, and families to establish a unified approach to care.
- Provide education for patients and their families to ensure support continues outside the clinic environment.
- Involve in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy, maintaining a seamless care trajectory for patients.
- Document thoroughly and accurately in compliance with organizational as well as state and federal regulations.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and peer-to-peer sharing.
Educational Background
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited institution.
- Fulfillment of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be achieved within 30 days of employment.
