Our Respiratory Therapist treat a range of patients; from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people with lung disease. Our RTs are skilled in assessment, airway management, resuscitation, patient education, pulmonary disease management, and mechanical ventilation which are essential for optimized care. As a frontline employee RTAs cover the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Labor & Delivery, and OB departments.
How you will contribute
A Respiratory Therapist who excels in this role:
Responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services in all clinical settings in the hospital.
Follows the orders of the patient's physician, helps plan, evaluate and treat patients for acute and chronic Pulmonary issues while in the hospital setting.
Collaborates with other health care providers for the patient's continuum of care.

Qualifications:
What we are looking forApplicants should have current North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care License and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC Applicants should possess an associate's degree. Bachelor's degree is preferred. Additional requirements include:
BLS is required within 30 days of hire
ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred
