Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting - Elgin, IL

A school district in Elgin, IL, is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized support to elementary school students during the upcoming school year. This part-time, contract position involves working 2-3 days per week across multiple school sites within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students to support their educational and functional goals.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize the Embrace software system for documentation and tracking student progress.
• Travel between various school sites within the district as needed.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Current Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
• Experience working with children in a school or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with occupational therapy best practices in elementary education.
• Ability to efficiently use computer software for documentation, specifically Embrace or similar platforms.
