Description

• Conduct evaluations for patients of all ages using a variety of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to the individuals short-term goals along with their long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing interventions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to support progress outside of clinical settings.
• Occasionally provide inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in professional development and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• A current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the initial 30 days of employment.
