Part-Time School Occupational Therapist - Cambridge, Massachusetts

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract This part-time Occupational Therapy role offers the opportunity to support a diverse student population in a K-12 school setting. Working primarily with children and young adults aged 3-19 years who are deaf or hard of hearing, this position focuses on assisting with evaluations and providing targeted interventions to support developmental and functional needs. Position Details: Duration: August 25, 2025 - April 17, 2026, with potential for extension depending on leave coverage Schedule: Part-time, approximately 16 hours per week Location: Cambridge, MA Setting: K-12 school environment Key Responsibilities: Assist in conducting occupational therapy evaluations for students with varying needs Support individualized interventions tailored to the deaf and hard of hearing student population Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that promote student success Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including American Sign Language (ASL) lessons provided by the school Desired Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred Background in home health or healthcare occupational therapy advantageous Interest in or experience with ASL; willingness to engage in ASL learning encouraged Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational setting and diverse learner needs This position provides a meaningful opportunity to impact students' educational experiences while enhancing skills in pediatric occupational therapy and ASL communication.
