Description

• Perform assessments across the life spanpediatric, adult, and seniorto understand their unique challenges using both standardized evaluations and observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate goals while also fostering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing processes.
• Deliver personalized one-on-one speech therapy sessions that target various needs including communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care plans.
• Provide essential education to patients and families that promotes progress even outside of clinical interactions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless treatment experience from start to finish.
• Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed and connected in the field through ongoing education and professional collaborations.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
