Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A contracted Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a K-12 school setting in Kansas City, KS, for the upcoming school year (NSY). Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to students within the K-12 school environment Collaborate with students, teachers, and other educational staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Assist in assessing student needs and developing appropriate therapy interventions Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and regulatory standards Participate in team meetings and parent communications as needed Qualifications: Current COTA certification and licensure as required by the state Experience working with children in a school-based occupational therapy setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff Ability to implement therapy programs tailored to student needs and goals Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and IEP processes is advantageous Location: Position is located in Kansas City, KS This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to support student development in a dynamic school setting through specialized occupational therapy assistance.
