Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
- Craft individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while also focusing on long-term communication and swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families to enhance progress beyond the therapy setting.
- Conduct periodic inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care continuity throughout the healing process.
- Maintain prompt and precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in professional development and continuing education to ensure the highest quality of care.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet endorsed by ASHA.
Certifications
- State licensure required for practicing as a Speech Language Therapist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of hire.
