Description

  • Assess patients across various age groups utilizing standardized tools and observational methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that address both immediate and lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions that concentrate on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
  • Conduct inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions when needed, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.
  • Keep precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational requirements.
  • Remain engaged in ongoing professional development to keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
