Description

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standardized tools and observational assessments.
  • Create individualized treatment plans that aim for both immediate and long-term improvements in communication, cognitive skills, and swallowing function.
  • Deliver targeted, one-on-one speech therapy designed to enhance fluency, voice quality, language skills, and eating/swallowing capabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to ensure well-rounded care approaches.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce therapy goals and support progress outside the clinic.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to ensure a seamless therapy experience throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain timely and precise documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet obtained your ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment.
