Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available, serving students from preschool through 8th grade in an elementary school setting. This itinerant role involves providing direct support to students across multiple locations within the school district, facilitating their engagement and success in daily activities and educational tasks. Location: Bridgeport, CT

Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Duration: Full school year (contract) Responsibilities include: Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapist directives Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to support student functional goals Evaluate student progress and modify interventions as needed to promote independence and participation Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with applicable regulations Manage caseload efficiently across designated schools Preferred qualifications and experience: Current state licensure or certification as a COTA Experience working with children from preschool through early adolescence Ability to effectively manage itinerant caseload and adapt to diverse settings Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with school teams and families Commitment to supporting student growth and well-being This position offers the opportunity to positively impact children's educational experiences through therapeutic support in a dynamic school environment.
