Evaluate patients' physical condition and interpret test results, observe their movements and listen to their concerns to diagnose functional and movement issues.

Develop individualized treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription, outlining clear patient goals and expected outcomes.

Implement physical therapy treatment plans using a variety of techniques including exercises, stretching, manual therapy, and therapeutic equipment to manage pain, increase mobility, and prevent further injury.

Educate patients and their families about the recovery process, providing instructions on proper in-home exercises and self-management techniques.

Evaluate and record patient progress, modify treatment plans and try new treatment as necessary.

Assist patients in the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices, observing their progress and recommending adjustments or modifications.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physicians and nurses to ensure coordinated care and optimize treatment outcomes.

Maintain accurate patient records and document patient care services in accordance with regulatory and licensing requirements.

Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.

Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices in physical therapy.

Supervise and train Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel.

Qualifications:

Physical Therapy degree from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited program.

Valid Physical Therapy license in good standing, in compliance with state regulations.

Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, and therapeutic practices.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with patients and families from diverse backgrounds.

Demonstrated ability to develop individualized treatment plans and adapt them based on patient needs and progress.

The ability to manage patients with varying personalities and motivate them towards achieving their goals.

Physical stamina to lift and move patients and equipment, and to perform demonstrations of exercises and treatment techniques.

Strong analytical and observational skills to diagnose and evaluate patient conditions.

Dexterity and manual therapy skills to diagnose and evaluate patient conditions.

Attention to detail regarding patient problems and progress documentation.

Basic technological proficiency, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Commitment to lifelong learning and staying current with the latest research and evidence-based practices.
