Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and elderly clients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans that cater to immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that encompass language, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapies.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to assist them in making progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Contribute to occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation compliant with state regulations, federal guidelines, and organizational protocols.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successfully complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
