Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Conducting thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
  • Creating tailored treatment plans to meet immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Delivering individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on language, communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
  • Partnering with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish effective integrated care strategies.
  • Providing education to patients and families to reinforce therapeutic progress beyond clinical visits.
  • Participating in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure a seamless continuum of care during the treatment journey.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and timely documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest field advancements through education and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Required Credentials

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
