Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing standardized methods and observational strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment regimens tailored to amend both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing prerequisites.
  • Deliver focused speech therapy sessions addressing facets of communication, language mastery, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate with inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless care transitions throughout the therapeutic journey.
  • Keep thorough and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and facility standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaborative discussions with peers.

Education

  • Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still awaiting ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
