Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standard assessments and observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment strategies that focus on immediate goals and long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing improvements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources and guidance for patients and families, ensuring support continues beyond clinic visits.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient care evaluations and interventions, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organization standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and peer interactions to remain at the forefront of the field.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) via ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
