Position Summary

The role of the Physical Therapist reports to the Home Health Manager. This position is responsible for evaluation and implementation of appropriate and prescribed physical therapy services to each assigned patient to restore, reinforce and improve performance of functional skills and to promote quality of life. This position provides clinical supervision to staff and students and assists with program development.

Essential Position Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluation and implement appropriate plan of care
  • Ensure timely completion of required documentation
  • Communicate the patient’s status with all necessary members of the patients care team and coordinate care plan
  • Provide clinical supervision of physical therapy assistants, as appropriate

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
  • Licensure and Certifications: Arkansas Physical Therapist license, Valid Driver’s License, Proof of Automobile Liability Insurance, and CPR, required.
  • Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in a Home Health or Acute care setting, preferred.

Work Environment: This position has exposure to communicable disease and body fluids. This position will spend 80% of the time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will serve a culturally and linguistically diverse patient population.
