Description
- Conduct evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans that focus on achieving short-term objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions honing in on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to engineer unified care strategies.
- Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to enhance progress outside the clinical setting.
- Assist in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care continuum throughout the treatment journey.
- Keep up with accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative learning opportunities to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Education
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
