Overview:
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) , internally referred to as our Rehabilitation Assistant or Physiotherapy Assistant, in our Therapy Department . As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for St. Joseph Medical Center Therapy Department you will work under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist. You should you want to work in a friendly team-oriented environment and have some or all of the required experience. Shifts Available: Days
Employment Type: Per Diem (PRN)
Hours: 8-hour shift: 8:00a 4:30p, 1 weekend day and holiday rotation
Location : St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, MO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- Provides medically prescribed therapeutic services in order to restore function and prevent disability in patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, cardiopulmonary and/or integumentary disorders
- Performs responsibilities in accordance with Physical Therapy, state and federal regulatory, licensing and accrediting requirements
- Treat patients through exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions

- Our shift needs are: 8:00-4:30pm, 1 weekend day and holiday rotation; weekdays as needed/available
Education and Work Experience
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- current state Physical Therapist Assistant license
- current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- some experience
