Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for patients across various age demographics, utilising standardized evaluation methods alongside observational techniques.
  • Create tailored treatment plans that reflect both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, doctors, nurses, caregivers, and family members to design effective care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and their families to facilitate improvements outside clinical sessions.
  • Participate in providing inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a seamless care experience.
  • Keep thorough and timely records, compliant with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
