Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students within a K-12 school setting in Seattle, WA. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), providing occupational therapy services designed to enhance students' abilities to participate fully in their educational environment. Responsibilities: Implement individualized occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Assist in evaluating students' functional abilities and progress toward therapy goals. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to integrate therapy strategies within the classroom and school routines. Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs). Qualifications: Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with school-based occupational therapy practices and federal/state education regulations. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
