Category Schools - OT - Telehealth Job Type Contract Job Title: Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist Location: Remote (Must be licensed in Nevada) Employment Type: Full-Time 1099 Contract About Us: We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist to provide virtual occupational therapy services to students across Nevada. This position plays a critical role in helping students succeed in the school environment by improving their fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care routines, and overall functional performance. Job Summary: The Remote School-Based Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and deliver virtual therapy services to students with disabilities and developmental delays in a K-12 setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the OT will support students' access to their educational programs and help them develop the skills necessary for independence and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct virtual occupational therapy evaluations and write comprehensive reports in compliance with IDEA and Nevada Department of Education guidelines Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to occupational therapy Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions via telehealth platforms in both individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, related service providers, and IEP teams to support student success Provide strategies and recommendations for accommodations and modifications to improve student participation in academic and functional school activities Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals Participate in virtual IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development Maintain accurate records and ensure all services and documentation meet state and federal requirements Educate staff and families on techniques and tools to support students' motor development and sensory needs Qualifications: Required: Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Nevada Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting Familiarity with IEP processes, IDEA compliance, and school-based documentation Proficiency in teletherapy tools and digital platforms (e.g., Zoom, TheraPlatform, Google Workspace) Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Reliable internet connection and secure, private workspace Preferred: NBCOT certification Experience delivering virtual/remote therapy services Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools used in educational settings Work Environment: 100% remote (teletherapy); flexible scheduling available Must be available during school hours according to the academic calendar Compensation for this position ranges from $40.39 to $60.39.
