Description

The University of Montana Physical Therapy Clinic (UMPT) invites applications for a Program Coordinator II to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Clinic as well as the New Directions Wellness Center.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities

Provide direct support to the Clinic Director, and liaises with Clinic Billing Manager, Clinic Billing Assistant, Clinical Faculty Instructors, Orthopedic Resident and intermittent physical therapy staff on a daily basis

Responsible for maintaining a professional and supportive environment for students, faculty, staff and patients

Provide excellent customer service to all clients and acts as a liaison between the clinic, faculty and students from the DPT program during student rotations within the clinic

Maintain positive client relations, and ensure compliance with all HIPAA and UM policies

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma and two (2) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to operate personal computers, related word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Knowledge of office reception, patient scheduling, medical record management.

Use of correct English, spelling, composition and grammar.

Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete tasks while paying attention to details.

Ability to be fully compliant with HIPAA practice standards, follow rules and regulations regarding management of medical records and patient information.

Effective communication and customer service skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to coordinate student worker activities while following established timelines for completion of tasks.

Ability to make sound decisions and remain calm and professional at all times.

Able to perform light housekeeping duties to ensure all areas in the clinic are organized, clean and safe.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a medical front office utilizing current EMR software.

Prior experience and knowledge of some UM specific systems, policies and procedures.

Prior experience of coordination and management of individuals working on established.

Additional Information

Position Number: 064620

Compensation Title: Program Coordinator II

Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week), Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, 12 months/year.

Probationary Period: Six (6) months minimum
