Description

• Assess patients belonging to diverse age groups with techniques that combine standardized evaluations with keen observational skills.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that reflect both immediate objectives and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver dedicated one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered on improving communication abilities including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Provide necessary education to patients and families to ensure continued progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Support occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, facilitating seamless patient care throughout their therapeutic journey.
• Ensure all documentation meets state, federal, and institutional regulations and is maintained on a timely basis.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology through ongoing learning and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are still awaiting ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of coming on board.
