A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based therapy to support K-12 students. This role is located in Joliet, Illinois, serving a diverse student population across various grade levels throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance students functional abilities and academic performance.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary to promote continued development.
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting, preferably serving K-12 students.
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy frameworks and IDEA regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage time efficiently while balancing caseload and administrative responsibilities.
