Overview: Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time school-based position near Phoenix, Arizona. This position offers the unique opportunity to work under the supervision of a virtual Occupational Therapist (OT) while providing essential therapy services to students in a school setting. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in a school-based setting under the supervision of a virtual OT
• Collaborate with the virtual OT and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for students
• Document progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student performance
• Ensure therapy services meet state and federal regulations, and are aligned with the schools educational goals
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to student assessments
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and therapy needs

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of Arizona
• Experience working in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting is preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate virtually with a supervising OT
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Current Arizona fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain)
• Availability to work 35 hours per week during regular school hours
