Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our growing outpatient physical therapy clinic. The PTA will work under the supervision and direction of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment sessions, implementing therapeutic exercises, performing modalities/manual therapy as appropriate, and supporting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
The ideal candidate is patient-centered, professional, and passionate about helping individuals regain function, reduce pain, and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Administer treatment programs as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
Assist patients with prescribed exercises and activities to promote recovery.
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting updates to the PT.
Provide instruction on home exercise programs and patient education.
Ensure treatment areas and equipment are clean, organized, and safe.
Contribute to a positive, supportive, and motivating clinic environment.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current New Jersey state PTA license (or eligibility to obtain).
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Previous outpatient orthopedic or sports rehab experience is a plus (new graduates welcome to apply).
