Position Highlights

  • Assess individuals across pediatric, adult, and older adult populations through standardized tests and observational evaluations.
  • Create customized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that focus on language development, fluency, voice issues, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, and doctors to build a comprehensive care strategy for each patient.
  • Educate patients and their families to ensure continued growth outside the therapy sessions.
  • Support the team with inpatient speech therapy evaluations as needed, ensuring a seamless care experience.
  • Ensure documentation is precise and complies with all state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing education and peer collaboration to stay at the forefront of the field.

Education Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certification Requirements

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
