Description

  • Conduct assessments for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized testing and other observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on both immediate objectives and longer-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to formulate a comprehensive care approach.
  • Provide guidance to patients and their families to enable progress outside of office visits.
  • Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions to ensure consistent care throughout the process.
  • Keep precise and timely records according to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Remain informed about the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and team collaboration.

Education

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
