Description

  • Deliver focused one-on-one speech therapy that enhances communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Engage in collaborative practices with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to promote cohesive strategies for patient care.
  • Provide essential education for patients and their families to ensure progress continues outside of the treatment room.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring seamless continuity in patient care throughout their journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaborative discussions with colleagues.

Education

  • A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), required for those awaiting ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preference for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
