Speech-Language Pathologist - Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD)
A well-established and highly respected nonprofit organization is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team supporting children and young adults with complex needs. This is a full-time opportunity based on a beautiful residential campus, providing services within a specialized day school setting for students ages 6 to 22 with autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
About the Role:
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized therapy to students who require intensive behavioral and educational support. The program is designed to promote communication, independence, and skill development in a safe and structured environment.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Includes three annual breaks: one week in April (MA spring break), one week in December, and the week of July 4th
Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language therapy services to students with developmental delays, autism, cognitive challenges, and behavioral disturbances
Assess and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies
Support students with dysphagia and feeding needs
Collaborate with teachers, behavior analysts, OTs, PTs, and other professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans
Contribute to IEP development and progress reporting
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
Massachusetts SLP licensure or eligibility
Experience or training in augmentative communication, manual communication, and working with individuals with complex developmental and behavioral needs
Experience with dysphagia management preferred
Compensation & Perks:
