Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a vibrant Upstate New York community serving an elementary school setting with some high school students. This role spans grades K-12 and offers a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year, from September through June. In this role, you will manage a caseload of approximately 28 students, primarily elementary-aged, conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized therapy plans. Your direct therapy sessions will address each student's unique speech and language needs. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure effective accommodations and modifications. Participation in IEP meetings is required, contributing to goal-setting and progress monitoring. Key responsibilities include: Performing detailed speech and language evaluations Designing and implementing tailored therapy interventions Collaborating with educators to support student learning environments Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Engaging with families to provide guidance and resources Contributing to IEP development and compliance Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant educational regulations Location: Gloversville, NY - an inviting community known for its scenic charm and supportive educational environment.
