Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to work across three separate schools in Maine: Patricia. A. Duran School, Hermon Middle School, and Hermon High School with a primary focus on High School/Middle School level students. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with various communication needs.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Maine
  • Current Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
  • Experience working with students across exceptionalities
  • Proficiency in treating a range of communication disorders, from articulation delays to working with non-verbal students
  • Familiarity and comfort with augmentative communication devices preferred or willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
  • Stay current with the latest research and techniques in speech-language pathology

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel between the three school locations
