A Contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in a K-12 school setting located in Batavia, Illinois. This position is ideal for newly graduated SLPs seeking to complete their CFY while gaining valuable experience in educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Completion of graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligibility to begin or currently engaged in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Relevant state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for working with K-12 students
- Ability to administer assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement speech and language therapy in a classroom setting
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conducting evaluations and screenings to identify communication needs
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records according to school policies and ethical standards
- Participating in team meetings and ongoing professional development
