Interim Director of Nursing, PICU/Respiratory Needed in Michigan! The Position An Interim Director of Nursing, PICU/Respiratory is needed to provide operational and strategic leadership for the Pediatric Intensive Care and Respiratory departments. This leader will oversee a team of 15 FTEs. Key responsibilities include addressing staffing challenges, improving retention and productivity metrics, mentoring PICU managers, and stabilizing respiratory operations while supporting recruitment and contract labor integration. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric nursing leadership experience, particularly in high-acuity environments, and a proven ability to manage staff shortages and operational rigor. Must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical. Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance. Requirements Master's or Doctorate in Nursing or related field required. Active RN license required. Previous healthcare leadership experience required. Compensation Details Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually. The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
