Position Summary: McLeod Health Cheraw is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a travel assignment supporting our inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation services. The therapist will evaluate and treat individuals with physical impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. This role plays a critical part in restoring movement, improving quality of life, and promoting independence for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Deliver therapeutic services including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support integrated care planning
- Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques, and home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in discharge planning and communicate progress to providers and case managers
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctorate or Master's level)
- Active Physical Therapist license in South Carolina or eligible for temporary/travel licensure
- Minimum of one year of experience preferred; travel experience a plus
- Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
