Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients, utilizing a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create customized treatment plans that focus on short-term objectives while addressing overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families to enhance progress outside of the clinical environment.
• Participate in the occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a continuum of care throughout the patients journey.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with all state, federal, and organizational requirements.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaboration with peers to stay updated with advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
