Description

  • Deliver targeted, personalized speech therapy interventions that improve communication skills, language abilities, fluency, voice control, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate effectively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Provide impactful education to patients and families that fosters continued progress outside of your sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions related to speech therapy to ensure seamless care continuity.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and remain attuned to the latest advancements in the field.

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still pending.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be attained within 30 days of employment.
