$10,000 RECRUITMENT BONUS!
*This role is for Pediatric Autism
The Speech Pathologist I evaluates and treats patients to maintain or restore their maximum functional performance level and completes discharge planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluates and develops plan of care according to American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) guidelines
Administers speech-language pathology treatments appropriate to diagnosis and to ASHA guidelines
Completes discharge planning according to ASHA guidelines by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to patient care conferences
Documents and charges for patient care services by charting in patient and department records according to federal, state, and local regulations
Protects patients, employees, and visitors by promoting infection-control and safety policies and protocols
Meets productivity standards
Ensures operation of equipment, follows manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoots malfunctions and reports the need for repair to supervisor
Supervises Rehab Aides, other support staff, and students
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Preferred Experience: Hospital-based experience
Required Certifications and Licensures: Licensed by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. Possess Certificate of Clinical Competence. Member of American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
