The Mental Health Counselor will play a vital role in assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, delivering therapy, and ensuring clinical documentation meets legal and ethical standards. This role is full-time (40 hours per week) within the hours of Monday-Friday 7:00am-6:00pm. Pay is $50,000 or more per year based on education, licensure and experience. Responsibilities: Conduct mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans per DHS 35 regulations. Provide evidence-based therapy and maintain a consistent weekly caseload (approx. 70% of time in direct client care). Attend mandatory weekly supervision, training sessions, and collaboration meetings (especially for interns/in-training). Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including session notes, CPT coding, treatment plans, and revisions. Track and meet assigned weekly billable hour requirements; notify team if at risk of falling short. Collaborate with supervisors, peers, and other staff on complex cases and treatment plans. Manage administrative tasks such as session scheduling changes, referrals, client audits, and supervision documentation. Participate in community outreach, staff meetings, policy development, and quality assurance initiatives. Remain up-to-date on state regulations, CEUs, and licensing maintenance. Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related mental health field. 3+ years of relevant experience. Active Wisconsin license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or working toward licensure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with clinical documentation standards. Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
