Role Responsibilities

  • Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
  • Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
  • Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care approaches.
  • Provide education to both patients and their families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions when required, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with applicable state, federal, and company standards.
  • Commit to ongoing learning and professional development through education and peer interactions.

Education and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications Required

  • Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of starting employment.
